It's with much sadness that I write of Charlie Moore's passing Saturday morning. He had been in good spirits and last weekend he had hosted a barbeque party at his house (see photo from this party of Charlie and his brother Hugh). Charlie had been healthy and happy and his sudden passing surprised us all. He died quietly in his sleep from congestive heart failure.

Charlie was a wonderful, kind-hearted man with a impish sense of humor. I am eternally grateful for the warm and welcoming reception that he and Pat extended to me when I joined their family. A loving father, he is survived by his son, Bruce, and his daughter, Rachel. His other son, Greg, died in 1999, and his wife, Pat, died in 2000.
