Goetz

Goetz and Tom visited us this weekend. Goetz is a long-time friend, a kindred spirit from our Boston days, with a wonderfully wicked sense of humor. It was great to see him again (it has been too long) and meet Tom.

Last night we saw The Sleeping Beauty with Paloma as Aurora and Angel as the prince. Despite some last-minute casting changes (Diana was struck down by the flu, and unbeknownst to the audience Gelsey suffered an injury during the performance), the production was outstanding. While Paloma is infamous for her unparalleled execution, she brought an emotional depth to match it this evening. And Angel, always a crowd favorite, was as good as I have ever seen him, delivering a dynamic, crisp performance. We just hope Gelsey and Diana both get better soon.
